ABOUT THE UNIT
Founded in 1986, Duvdevan is one of the IDF's most elite commando under cover units, specializing in complex counter-terror operations in dense and hostile environments.
Its fighters are trained to operate with precision, and discretion, often deep inside civilian surroundings, where every decision carries immediate consequences.
From the First Intifada to Operation Breakwater, from Jenin to Gaza, and from October 7th through the Iron Swords War, Duvdevan has stood at the front line of Israel's most sensitive security challenges.
Behind the unit's operational excellence is a legacy built on courage, sacrifice, brotherhood, and an unwavering commitment to protect the people of Israel. For nearly four decades, Duvdevan has remained more than a unit – it is a family, a mission, and a responsibility carried by every fighter who wears its pin.

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
Friends of Duvdevan is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organization that financially supports the Duvdevan Foundation in Israel - the organization responsible for carrying out critical programming and support services for the Duvdevan Unit and its community.
Together, we operate as partners in strengthening the long-term wellbeing, resilience,
and future of those who serve in one of Israel’s most elite military units.
While the Duvdevan Foundation in Israel executes programming on the ground, Friends of Duvdevan provides the financial resources, international partnerships, donor engagement, and strategic support necessary to help sustain and expand that work.
In addition to its activities in the United States, Friends of Duvdevan also helps lead international fundraising efforts and donor partnerships in Canada and Australia in support of the Foundation’s mission and programming.

Our mission was clear: to be a home for every Duvdevan veteran and to take care the families of the fallen.
We look to the future, empowering our veterans to write the next chapter of their lives.
We strive to fulfil their potential - so they can integrate into Israeli society in the most impactful way possible.
