“My name is E. I am a graduate of the Duvdevan Unit and currently serve as an active reservist, completing more than 200 days of reserve duty each year. I am also a second-year medical student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
I am deeply grateful to have received a full seven-year scholarship from the Duvdevan Foundation. This support allows me to focus fully on my medical studies while continuing to answer the call whenever my unit needs me.
Without this scholarship, I would have needed to work an additional job to support myself—something that would have made it nearly impossible to succeed in such a demanding degree program while also serving in the reserves.

Cherry Seed is our premier entrepreneurship program, created to help alumni transform bold ideas into viable ventures. The program connects veterans with the mentorship, academic insight, practical tools, and professional networks needed to enter the world of entrepreneurship with confidence. Through partnerships and learning frameworks with institutions such as Reichman University, alongside experienced founders, investors, and business leaders, participants gain direct exposure to Israel’s startup ecosystem and learn how to develop, test, refine, and present new ideas. Cherry Seed builds on the qualities forged in Duvdevan—initiative, accountability, creativity under pressure, rapid execution, and relentless problem-solving—and helps translate them into business, technology, and innovation. The goal extends beyond supporting individual founders. It is to bring Duvdevan’s culture of leadership and execution into the future of Israeli entrepreneurship.
